Their words are attached to emotions that was indescribable at that point. Their success is also partly due to the fact that it was synonymous with the zeitgeist  that was being conceived in most white Afrikaans Post-Apartheid youth that suffers of the "white guild" we now have to "un-offically" endure (obviously up to a certain point).
